Doddle card

I have created 1000's of doodles in my life time and have saved alot of them... some are in my books that you can purchase from my publisher... you can click on the book to the right and it will take you right to them.. you will see all my books that I have published...

I decided to start to use some of my doodles on cards... and love the way that they look... this is one of them.. .I colored the flower in with my twinkling H20's... and then used chalk around the edge of the circle spellbinder... I used a mount of the next size... and then a scalloped one in a soft printed paper.. Then I used a larger sheet of dark sage and found Marthas border and corner punch to be perfect for this... added a bow and it was done...

I love the pink paper, as it is bazzill.. find these colors rich and elegant in all cases... very nice paper..

Hope you enjoy this doodle and card.. I will be using more of them.. so please let me know how you like them on a card..

Eyelet and Daisies

Oh I love a lot of different things in life.. .but I do love certain colors a little bit more than others.. and lime has a very positive place in my heart... it is bright and so very pretty... also I love EYELET.. so dainty and girly girl like... I think of ruffles and sweet little things when I see eyelet...
So that had to be added to this..

The main course.. what else... Daisies.. the loveliest of all flowers... Todays inspirational site had all these different purses and wallets etc.. and they were all very nice.. but I had fun picking a little from here and a little from there.. and this card represents that..

I did make a couple of different sizes of daisies... and they are both made from different size punches... and the centers are also done a little bit differently too.. I love making the punched flowers... they are fun. The butterfly is made with a punch.. .and one layer is white cardstock and the other one is vellum...
Hope you enjoy this one...
Spring might be coming soon... but today we have had a foot of snow... and it is white all over the place...

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look... and stay a while and enjoy all the other cards..

The tinest little bird house

Oh this one is so cute... it is really small too...
Someone asked where I got the patterns...

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/free-downloads.html

She has two of the three that I have shown you... the other one is from SCS library...

Anyway... this one was so cute and I colored it my Twinkling H20's... on the sides there are also a lot of Heart flowers... and on the back... HOME SWEET HOME...

I am going to send these bird houses to my mom, and hopefully she will hang them up in her picture window to watch spring fill in around them and she will see spring arrive real soon...

I used Martha's border and corner punches on this and also used a SU bird on a nest on the inside of this little house...

Hope you will try and make a few... they are really fun and so very cute as little tag on present even... love them...

Have a creative day and have fun...

Love, Light and Peace.. Bonnie

Horses

WOW... todays inspiration gave me a perfect way of making a card for Glenn for Valentines day... and I also did it as a casing on Yvonne Ana's gallery... she does some really nice cards... so I love this one and choose to do it for Glenn.. .

Starting at the back.. .I used a pebble cuddlebug and then used my ranger ink pads and rubbed the russet over it first and then the coffee secondly... it gives a nice 'leather' look to the paper... then I used a couple of squares and topped them off with a white Fleur Di lis die template from Spellbinders... then an octagon scalloped in black and one in white as a frame... but the one with the horse is off white.. and I used my twinkling H2o's to paint the horse with.. so he shines... I love it... and I know Glenn will too.. WE use to have a pair of Belgiums and when we left NJ we brought one with us... (the other one had died) he weighed only 2300 pounds... and took a whole 40 foot trailer to haul him and all his equipment... but he was a love.. he also died a few years ago... but he is still a love in our hearts...

Hope you enjoy this one.. and I hope that Glenn does too..
Thanks for visiting my blog.. and have a nice day...

Butterfly Parade ... I love butterflies.. can you tell

Yesterday I was trying to make a card to send to my Mom... and she loves Pinks and Greens... so this paper was really perfect for a card for her... don't you think???

Anyway, I made all these butterflies and it is was very her.. she loves dainty delicate things... and then I put the dotted swiss on the inside with a gingham bow... again very delicate and cutsie... I do have stickles on all the wings of the butterflies so the glisten in the light... hopefully she will be able to see that ... she has macular degeneration and can't see that well at this time in her 90 years... but she is still doing and a lot of it too.. .

I loved the card so much that when I read the challenge for today, I decided to make the same card with fabric... so here is that part of the story...

WT255 Challenge today was to use a piece of fabric to create a card… so I knew exactly what piece I wanted to use.. now to find it…

Well after searching for a while, there it was sitting on the work table in my sewing room, I had it pulled out for a project.. so I couldn’t cut into the area I wanted for this card… so I took the material and scanned it, and used it as a paper… but it is a fabric print, as you can see… it is a piece of batik fabric from Jamica… so I just couldn’t cut into the center where the turquoise was… it has greens, purples, and oranges as well as some yellows as you can see… just yummy plus to me… all my favorite colors…

I also needed a valentines card for this friend who is batty over butterflies… so it was perfect for that too..

So on the inside I made a plate of white paper with Martha’s double heart border… and then a large heart in the corners… wow… I know she is going to love this one…

Prior to gluing down the fabric/paper, I made paper lace from the spellbinder border fluer di lis template… and gathered it up to put around the curve… then again using another spellbinder template create the butterflies and then put them thru the cuddlebug dotted swiss folder… a little Stickles on the edges and it is completed…

Hope you like it… and thanks so much for taking a look see… I love using fabric, and do use it a lot when I don’t have the proper color paper… it is very nice to compliment a softer looking card… and the texture is GREAT…

Have a super creative day…and thanks for stopping by my blog..

Purple Delight for the perfect Valentine

.

I had more fun creating this than anything I have ever done.. and I certainly have done a lot of designs of all kinds for all kinds of things, paintings, scrapbook pages, wall murals, altered books and cards… but this one really stole my heart in all ways..

I have been working on this for a few days... cutting out, adding, taking away, painting new flowers, all that kind of thing... using punches, using spellbinders dies of all kinds just anything that I could to get the look that I wanted.. and FINALLY I got the look that I desired..

Above is the card in a closed state... that is how it will be given... and then when it is opened up...
you see the three panels of flowers, leaves, embossing, paper laces, and dotted swiss papers..

I did paint the flowers, and then hand cut them and then glazed them, and then popped them... each one has a few purple seed beads and a pearl in the center... and then I used Fred Mullets fern stamp and embossed it with gold and then painted with Twinkling H20's... and then hand cut the leaves all out... wow... that was a job ... but they are so very delicate and that is what I was after... so it was worth it... I didn't want a bos on each section, but it did need something, so the butterfly on the outside panels was perfect...

I hope you like it... I certainly loved making it... and it is a special Valentine...

Have a special day...
Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

Girl in Purple

Oh this sketch is one that is very good for me… Thanks to whom ever created it… I think it is GREAT…. I love having something below the ribbon… so I knew just what stamp I was going to use today… and she is a love too…

Pink and light lavender were also perfect… and some of my newest pink flowers with little pink beads for the centers, a few pearls and it would be just my cup of tea…

So here she is… surrounded in all her paper lace.. and loving all the flowers too… in her hair, arms and below the ribbon…

Thanks for taking a look at her.. she loves for you to visit…

Also I really appreciate all the comments you leave… Thank You very much for each one.

Thanks for visiting my blog... I love for you to visit... come back soon..

Hope you have a very good day… Love, Light and Peace....Bonnie

Three in ONE!!! WOW !!!!

Oh WOW… I can’t believe that I was able to do three challenges with one card… but I did it… yikes… Each challenge has an entirely different feeling too…

Midnight Madness Sketch this week was a fun one… but I just didn’t know what I could put around a circle that number of times and not make it look too busy… so when I finally came up with the solution.. if was fine… I feel that you can put a lot of flowers in any one area and not have it look too busy.. Hope it isn’t… We also had to have something in the corners and so I chose this Heart Punch by Martha Stewart, as it was also needed for the other challenges, again in different ways… This was a fun sketch Priscilla… I loved it… thanks…

Color Challenge this week, was also a delight for me… Betty I love Pinks… and can play with them all day long.. I don’t wear pinks… but love them in papers… Pretty Pink, Melon Mambo/Raspberry Fizz, and Blush Blossom…. I don’t have any of those specific colors, but I used three different colors and got the results of three different pinks… Hope that they are within range… I also added hearts on the corners for the heart dessert and also there is heart paper on the background paper.

Okay… now this might sound a little bit strange to some of you… but this is also for the Tea Pot Tuesday Group…. And if you are interested you should look into this group… it is little wild at times, but always a lot of fun and very creative with card and word… so hold on ….

HERE I COME…. (the name of the card also..hee hee…)

I finally got all cleaned up, and instead of going all the way back home from some Asian country, I found this cute little hobbit house and the woman helped me on with some clothes… they are a little bit different than I normally wear, but I don’t feel strange in them… the wings??? Well I guess you can get use to anything after you wear it for a while… I am so very glad to finally be here… you would not believe all that I have been thru to get here.. but I am here and that is all that counts at this point… I have brought with me today all kinds of goodies… first off, I brought all kinds of flowers, small little cakes all with pink icing and of course little cherries on top… and then I brought pink heart tarts for everyone to try.. they are delicious, and then I also brought some lace for everyone to put in their new hair do’s if they desire… There is a pearl necklace for everyone… I picked them up last week at Tiffany’s for ya’ll… so enjoy!!!!

I also came, as I have finally decided to have my hair trimmed… just a little bit though… I do love my long hair and wouldn’t have it cut off, but because we are in this new salon.. I will have it trimmed…

I do hope you enjoy all the goodies… I loved making them for you and have an enjoyable day here… I am so glad I was finally able to make it here…

Thank You for looking at my card, and also for wading through this long story… (unless you are at the tea party) Hope you enjoyed my card…

Love, Light and Peace… Bonnie

Newest Cuddlebug folders

Have you seen the Asian folders by cuddlebug? They are wild... a couple of background ones, You will see one below.. and then some that I call fore fronts... like t these.. .bamboo, fish and also a geisha... all lovely ones.. some are 4X5 size while others like the bamboo, geisha and backgrounds are 5X7 size... all great... love the set...

I used these on glossy white.. got out my reinkers and had some fun...

Do you need some reinkers by Ranger..(let me know) what fun they are... I have them all and used them all the time on all kinds of things.. in fact today I hope to make some more background papers... I love just getting in the inks...

I used all kinds of colors on this one.. to get the mood set for Cranes flying around, moutains in the background, and the lovely bamboo in the fore front of it all.. Great fun with this folder..

But the Koi... oh I love this one... I will have to work on the water swirls,.. but I know that this one will be used a lot .. I love it... I added a small piece of gold metallic card stock and a few of my flowers.. (beads and stamen were added to the paper flowers... I just love making these... I feel that they add a nice touch to a card... also additional postage.. but hey... it is so high now... what is a few more pennies? )

Hope that you have enjoyed these cards.. .I used for a story line on a challenge called Teapot Tuesdays... always a fun story line, and this one is no exception... the gal that does the challenge has quite gift of story lines... and should be writing books, but she also has a gift of wonderful card making too... maybe some childrens books would be a wonderful thing for her to create...

I will have to remember to suggest that to her.. Cindy is just a fun filled person.. lots of fun.

Thanks again for taking a look at my blog.. hope you are enjoying yourself here... come back again soon...

All kinds of fun happening around here...

On Saturday there was a challenge that was called Inspiration... I love Saturdays anyway.. and this challenge just spiked the day for me.. There were so many different pieces that I got inspired from... but I had a lot of other things I had to get done... so I limited myself to only two cards.. LOL.. I am going to have so many cards in my studio that I am going to have to add an addition to just hold all my cards.. .

Anyway... I had fun with two cards...

The one on the left was made so quickly.. .I had this piece of blue paper.. I had it left over from something??? and it was just sitting there on the table... waiting patiently to be used... so that was used for underneath the flowers.. the print had this pale blue background so this was perfect.. I had made the paper with Twinkling H20's... do you have any?? ?They are the most fun to use... you can get all kinds of different effects with them... use them to paint very intricately on a stamped area, or make background papers, or anything else your heart desires... so very much fun... and when the paint dries, it sparkles... ever so nicely... if you need any and can't find them, let me know... I can get them for you...

This is another card from the same inspiration... oh my goodness.. in the 60's and 70's I use to cut these flowers out by the dozens... every color you can think of... I had them on everything around me... walls, books, clothes, (I would use some kind of iron on stuff and cute the flowers out of one fabric and iron it onto jackets, skirts, jeans, you name it... it had my flowers on it... I loved flowers back then too... )

Anyway... this card also got to be the first to have one of the my newest purchases.. Asian folders by Cuddlebug... I love them... I have a couple of other cards on the next blog... so you will see a few more that come in the set... very nice backgrounds, and also some that are forefronts...

The pillow that I used for the inspiration of this card, had the white circle in it... so I used my trusty white gel pen and made the circle...

Hope you like these wild ones... they were fun to make...

Okay... the newest little special card style on the block.. the side step...

On Monday the Challenge was to create this style card... directions and all were given... so off I went to make another one...

WE had made this card in our group last week... so I loved making this one...

You need to take a look see at all the others that were made... go here...

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?mcats=all&si=TLC257&what=allfields&name=&when=&whenterm=&condition=and

and take a look see... I do hope that it connects... I haven't done that before.. if it doesn't work and you want to see this challenge, just let me know, I will see about hooking you up... there are so many adorable ones there... a great inspiration for all..

Back to the card... I had this cute little one... and so since I have such a love for daisies I did this one...

I had just made this 'Little one' (only 4 layers on her) so I used her and put her in a field of daisies stamped and also made with paper punched daisies... The daisy is my very 'favoritest' flower of all times... I carried them in our wedding... and when I see a daisy I always think of that special day... even though it was over 40 years ago.. and my hubby still picks me daisies when ever he sees a bunch of them... how sweet is that??

On Sunday... there is always a challenge that is called Featured Stamper... this week it was Karen B. Barber... and since I had connected with Karen from the first week I went to SCS.. .I felt I had to create a casing (coping ) of her style... so I created this card.. which is so very typical of her work..

She does this technique that is called Black magic... where you stamp with a white ink pad, allow it to dry and then color with pencils, or markers the whiten area... very nice ... add your white dots... and that it is... She makes her flowers really talk..

Well I didn't have a stamp that had solid flowers... so I used a stamp with leaves and added some paper flowers that I hand painted and added some beads to for the centers... also some stamen that added some accents...

I also got to use my one of my newest Martha punches... I love these hearts... and they are so very delicate and sweet.. .

Hope that you have enjoyed these cards... I loved making them all.. and do enjoy sharing them...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... leave a comment now and then too.. if nothing more than Hi...

Butterfly book project

Below you will find directions on how to make this adorable little book or fancy card... it is fun to make and can be made with 24 inch long paper... or you can glue together paper to create the 24 inch long paper...

But either way it is fun and a lovely gift to someone who is special in your life...

Hope you enjoy and leave me some messages about how you made out... thanks

Love, Light and Peace...

Butterfly book

This is one the cutest books I have ever seen...

Ellen, a gal in our stamp group always gets her hands on some really cute ideas... and this is one of the many during the past year that she has brought to group.. so here are the directions...
Below in the next blog you will find one of the ones that I did for my Mothers 90th birthday... wow can you image 90 years old... and still running around doing all kinds of things... playing bells, doing as much artsy stuff as possible... she has macular degeneration... and has a very hard time seeing anything... but she does pursue this in as many ways as possible...

Okay.. on with this great little book.. Above you will see the diagram.. using a piece of paper that is 36 or 24 inches long.. I prefer the 24 inch long book.. .it makes a book that is 4 x 4 inches... and so cute.. but there are some cases where a larger one might be desired... so you could use any size your heart desires...

You need to fold the paper ... VERY CAREFULLY into sections... if you are using 24" paper... your book pages will be 4inches ... so you need to score 4 inches along the entire paper... you should have 6 sections... Then leaving the first section unscored ... and then score the next 4 sections as shown... and leave the back one unscored also...

I put this picture in here.. to show you that id doesn't matter how you score... you don't need a fancy scoring board... you just need to score the paper...

Now after the paper is all scored... I find it so much easier if you bend each score back and forth to sort of 'loosen' up the fold... so that when you go to make the pages go the way you choose they just simply move into that direction... but however you find it easiest to do... make you pages look like this...

Then .... as you can see from this picture it will easily go into this direction...

I am showing you these pictures so that you can see the book undecorated and how the pages are going to be able to move...

Then as you can see, the front section will flop down...

Now.. after all these pages are folded properly...

I have found it easier to decorate the pages at this time... knowing which ones are going to flop etc... but some have found it easier to glue the pages together and then decorate... the choice is all yours, naturally...

Glue the areas as shown in the above diagram... and you are either ready to decorate or you are finished...

I do hope that you understand these directions... if not, just leave a comment and I will try and get back to you as soon as possible... but please let me know how you did with this project... I will be waiting to hear...

An example of one of the many I have made..

This is the cover of my book... and I want to talk about this at this time...

After you have your blank book pages all folded etc... you will need to make two covers... one for the front and one for the back... this just adds character to your book... also it allows you to put a tie onto the book to keep it closed etc...

Anyway... make your cover only a tiny bit larger than your pages... like about 1/16th of an inch... just a little bit...

Then cover the chipboard or what ever you have to use... (some gals even use cereal boxes.. and it you do... use a couple of thicknesses of this... it will make this so much stronger for you...

Of course by this time you most likely have chosen a theme you will be using, so your cover will share this same theme... and then you will need to choose a ribbon that also goes with the theme... (this same ribbon can be used for the back brace also... read down below prior to making the book... thanks... )

Okay.. .so you have your covers, covered in paper... and ribbon glued into places you need it... and now you need to cover the pages prior to gluing these into place...

(I apologize if this sounds a little choppy... I am having to write this entire lesson backwards... with a blog you start at the bottom and work up... ugh... my brain is having to do double time.. ..LOL... not use to that... I guess it is good practice... for what.. I don't know... )

When you are done with all the pages and are totally satisfied, then you glue the covers into place... and will be done with the book...

This is what the book looks like when opened and standing up..
*Note... if your book doesn't stand up, you can put a small piece of ribbon under each side of the covers to hold the 'book' in this position... I found that when this wasn't done, the book sort of flopped... but if yours doesn't then you don't have to do this step...

I used a small narrow piece of ribbon... about 3 inches long... and it just held the book 'up'...

I did use spellbinders dies where ever I could... and also paper lace was added too... you will have fun decorating this book...

This is how the middle section should look... some gals have put little tabs etc to show that this section unfolds... but you will know what to do with yours... As You can see... I did decorate each area I possibly could...

This is the very back of the book... just so you can see that I also decorated every little bit I possibly could..

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial... and please comment and share with me your experiences with this project... I would love to see your books...

Love, Light and Peace.... Bonnie

Me and My Friends...

Oh what a little sweetie this one is... with her cute little lamby pie... and the little bunny between her cute little lavender shoes... so sweet... her Easter basket in her arms... I love it.. .just so cute... anyway.. I copied her 6 times but only used 4 layers... at times I get a little carried away with these 3d's... you can use any picture... and just copy it and then start layering the picture... it does add a nice touch to a special card...

Today's challenge was to create a Palindrome... which means to reflect the design from one side onto the other... so if it was cut in half you would see the whole...and you didn't have to do it for the entire card... as some did.. .and I must add that they are magnificent... I did it only in some areas as you can see.. .

I used my newest Butterfly Punch that my Enabler, Marie got me from Michaels... thank you Marie so much for all the punches that you so lovingly got me with coupons... I love them all... you know that... but I love our friendship even more...

So I used the butterfly punch which has some butterflies only half punched so that they stand up.. so cute... I hope you take a good look... you will see them.. .and then I added some of the new heart punch... that is behind t he Spellbinder Lattice pendant... I added a butterfly and some pearls... and of course a polka dotted lime bow... love it all ... again two of my favorite colors...

Hope you will come back and visit again soon...

Love, light and Peace... Bonnie

Resting Pretty

Isn't she the sweetest little girl you have ever seen??? I love these images.. they are so sweet and dear... love them all..

Yesterday was the third Thursday of the month... and that is when Whipperstampers meets... our stamping group...

WE use to be huge in number... but as all things .. we dwindled down to about 6 and now are starting to grow again.. the Girls from the South Carolina group in Greenville attend our meetings and they are a welcome group.. .all are so very nice and creative...

Last night April, one of the gals from the Greenville Stamping Diva's taught our group how to make this card... it is a fun card once you have made a few... I guess I can't quite measure the way I should... because i have really been having issues with this card... I have made a few.. .but have had to adjust the measurements in my own way. ahemmmmm .. I will not go into that now... but I did have to adjust... believe me.. so last night I didn't have to... I sat there and worked on it until I got it... YEAH.. .I did get it... FINALLY.... I added all the goodies and called it a card...

I put it into todays swap as a palindrome, but I really just wanted you to see the adorable new punch with the birds!!!! I love it... it is so precious... I can hardly wait to use it again...

Until then... hope you enjoyed your visit on here... and come back again soon..

Pansies

I love these sweet little flowers.. my Father's father (My Grandfather) use to have a gardener that us to say the a pansy had a little face... and if you look they really do... so sweet too...

One day I had a few friend over... Marie (My Enabler) and also April... over and we played naturally with paper... that is why we get together... we are all addicted to it.. .

Anyway we made all kinds of flowers.. but my favorites were the pansies... I had bought all these punches and had been playing with them... and creating flowers... April and Marie had fun making them.. .and will soon come back to make more... this card was for another sketch themed challenge... and I love the three panels in the back... allows you to see the background paper along with the others... so nice.. love it...

I didn't want the typical bar across using the ribbon, so I took a fancy label die from spellbinders and cut it in half... and made that the 'bar' going across the back... and then made a cute little white bow for the flower... but when I went to put it onto the card.. .the dot slipped and made the bow all funny.. but hopefully it doesn't look that silly...

I love my purples... but am finding myself using more and more greens with my purples... love them together... hope you experiment with color.. it is fun.. .

Thanks for visiting my blog... and I will be starting to have some tutorials and other things on here... so keep your eyes open... and check back often...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

A sketch Challenge

The group called Midnight Madness has a sketch Challenge every week.. in fact I will have to see what they are doing this week ... always an exciting challenge.

So this one was fun...

I chose this stamp to use, as I had not used it in a very long time.. I also used the color these of red, light blue and cocoa... so that I could put it into two challenges.

Hope you like it... and thanks for visiting my blog... I hope to be adding some additional things soon... Tutorials, a little bit of selling things... and all kinds of add ons... hope you will enjoy them...

Love, Light and Peace...

Down by the sea...

Another 3D effect picture that if you read down at the card below you will see the way it was created...
This challenge was a color challenge to use red, pale blue and cocoa... so here it is... not my favorite color theme.. .but you know each time I do one of these color challenges I loosen up a little bit.. I get into ruts with using the same colors over and over... so this does help me move along...

I love this deep cut punch from Martha... it is really pretty along with the dainty one on the left side of the card..

Thanks for taking a look see...

Tea Pot Tuesday Challenges are so much fun...

Oh when Tuesday arrive I know it is going to be a fun filled day of playing in my studio and also hearing all the stories that are made up from one funny story that Cindy, our hostess in this challenge creates... her mind has to be going 1000 miles a minute to do some of these stories... they are so much fun...

Anyway this week were to take our finest or favorite things to a tea party at Tiffany's on 5th Ave... I had to tell a favorite true story about a sorority sister who I went to Tiffany's with... it was truly a story of a life time...

It goes like this.....

Well a sorority sister from college wanted to see the life of the people in NYC... she lived on some of her Dad's ranches and had never seen the life in the Big Apple... so I offered to take her home with me for the Easter Break... The day arrived an we got on the bus to go into the city... (I lived about an hours drive from NYC) We arrived in the city, and did all kinds of funny wild things... bought cigarette's with our name on them... in bright colors... bought funny hat's; all kinds of fun things that I would never buy, as I certainly didn't have the kind of money she was use to spending... that was for sure...

Anyway, her Dad had told her to treat herself to something really special for her up coming birthday... so off to Tiffany's we went... She walked in and told the jeweler who she was... he, I am sure checked it out... along with her line of credit... and then the buying began... she wanted a necklace of Black Pearls... long enough that she could tie a knot in them... and that it wouldn't be too short... wow... that is going to cost some pennies!!!!

They brought out trays of these pearls... and each one she hand picked..(with white cotton gloves on... ) when she was all done, the jeweler asked if we would like some lunch... while they strung the pearls.. of course we said YES!!!! Champagne and all... we sat there with our hats on, smoking these funny cigarettes and having the best time... and enjoying this lovely lunch with little tiny sandwiches with cucumber slices on the top, and all kinds of different tasting things that I really don't know what they were.. but they were one thing... DELICIOUS...

Anyway we knew it would take a while, so we ate slow and enjoyed the lunch at Tiffany's.... This might sound like a typical tale ... but this really happened in 1964 with a sorority sister of mine... and we had lunch at Tiffany's... LOL... black pearl necklace and all... a very EXPENSIVE necklace.. but she did like it... and wore it all the time... I lost contact of this friend after graduation from College, but often wonder where she is, and what she is up to...

So this card is reflecting that luncheon at Tiffanys...

I used a new technique... the technique is to copy 6-8 prints of the same picture... and then using your spellbinders create a 3d effect with the prints... you have to make sure each print is exactlly where you want it... and then you build it all up with pop dots... so much fun... and so neat to create.. There is another one above... hope you enjoy it...

Have a fun day and lots of creativity in it too..
Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog... hope you enjoyed your stay here...

Little Bird Houses...

I just love these cute little houses... they are so much fun to make and also to have around the house...

They are fun to make and decorate...
The yellow one was inspired by Kittie and I thank her also for the location of the pattern... I think this house is so adorable... thanks a bunch Kittie...

I had to put a pansie wreath around the door with purple heart trees on the sides and back..

But then I got so carried away... I had to make a Valentine bird house too..

I guess I will send them to my Mom so she can hang them in her picture window to watch for Spring to arrive... she will love them... she loves bright colors, and since she is almost blind the colors keep her mind active..

I think I will have to make a little bird for this one... so very cute.. I love the simplicity of it... just some paper lace, and little red hearts...

Fun and games in the day of a paper multi media artist... LOL.. wow never thought I could have so much fun...

HOpe you enjoyed these...

Bird houses to make

Oh are these ever fun to make... they are adorable to hang from a light, a window lock, or any place.. send them to someone that is shut in, or as a Valentine present with some candy inside... they are just so cute...

This one I got a little carried away and so when you look inside... guess what you are peeking in the house... you can see three little birds all sitting on a branch, and then a bird with it's nest.. and also Happy Spring...

On the back and sides I put birds too... colored them all in with bright colors... hoping it will bring Spring to us sooner... enough of this cold weather...

Hope you enjoy these... For those of you in Whipperstampers group... we will be making these on Thursday night... so bring some decorative supplies... stamps and markers... wow what fun we are going to have...

Hope you enjoy these... and thanks for stopping by my Blog...

Brick Walls.... wow what fun !!!!

Todays Technique Challenge was to create a brick wall... so that I did... I dont' like to waste things, and as I told you the other two cards below with the messed up prints... well this is another one.. except this one stamped on white paper... I used gray paper on the others... so this one way not really 100% necessary that I use it... but hey... waste not, want not... so I made the bricks... adn then just took away the ones that were messed up... I added the lotus charm where their was a hole... and I loved it... so it was a GO for me...

I added the black trim... on the top of the card, and also on the bottom section... This is called an easel card and I do love making them.. .if you want directions... just let me know.. .I will write them out for you..

Hope you enjoy this card... I enjoyed making it... and thanks for visiting my Blog... hope you are enjoying it... let me know by your comments... that's the only way I know what you are thinking... my ESP has sort of gone by the wayside... LOL..

Have a wonderful day...

New Babies in the Spring

With Spring coming.. the Crane Family added a few members to their family as you can see...

This is a Fat Book Page.. .My second one for the Asian Fat Book.. (look below for details on Fat Books etc..)

I wanted to do something with a little more texture... so this one has it..
I have some of the areas popped, like the crane on the right side... and also the Ginkgo, and the gold emblem...

Just enough to make me happy... the color was lightly added with chalks. And then marker was used for the yellow of the beaks, and lime green for the lines in the ginkgo leaves...

Hope you like this one... I happen to really love it... and hope you all do too... leave me some comments about this one please... Love to hear what you think... and thanks for visiting my blog... I love to have you visit... also would love to have you become a follower... thanks...

Asian Fat Book Page

Okay.. before you get all excited... a Fat Book is a book that is made by alot of artists ... each gal creates a page... and then depending on the number of members for that particular book will make a page for each gal.. each gals page is then created the same for each member of the group... so in the end, each member will have exactly the same book, with the same number of pages... a wonderful book...

This month we have only 9 gals making pages... so the book will not be all that FAT... but one gal has created four pages... and I have created too.. this is my first one... and my second one will show up on the page above this...

My husband, Glenn and I were watching a TV show about the Panda, and the perils of the panda... and I felt so heart struck that I had to do my Asian page on the Panda... so here it is...

I create my background paper with a few bamboo stamps and many different colors of ink... and also some Twinkling H20's (gold ) spritzed all around the paper.. When were at the stamping convention in Greenville SC in September, I had to visit the Washi paper man... my favorite place... if I can walk away without spending a fortune I am lucky... but this year... no luck... I bought a lot of pretty pieces... and this was one of them.. .perfect for my turquoise bamboo Panda page...

I used an old bamboo punch and used some Gold cardstock scraps and punched out the emblem... I really wanted to add some of my own characters to the page, but left it as is... I hope you enjoy it...

These are two cards that I made with the left overs from the second page... there were four sheets that were stamped with mistakes etc... and so I couldn't throw them away... so I used them for overlays, and cut out the crane, and that kind of thing... and was able to get two more cards... I didn't add the other bird or the Gingko but feel that these are fine as is...

Hope you have enjoyed this little visit into Asia... and we will be there again soon.. .I love Asian themed cards and books.. and am learning how to write the chinese language... slowly but surely...

Glad you came for a visit... come back again soon...

A Casing for Anne Harmon

Every Sunday on SCS there is a challenge called Featured Stamper... and today it was for Anne Harmon. So since I am not able to post any cards on SCS today, I decided to do it on my Blog, so that Anne could see my 'casing' of her gallery... A casing is that you go into the Featured Stampers gallery and look at all their cards, and become inspired by some and create your own from it... This White on white one was really so very pretty and I love making white on white cards... so I started with that... I put a turquoise border behind the Happy Birthday... and also put turquiose centers in the flowers... but otherwise it is like Anne's... I love it... someone will be getting this card soon... that is for sure..

So after finishing that card, I had all this cute little flowers punched... and so I made another card.. Anne's FAVORITE color is RED... so I better make a RED card for her... She has quite a few red, white and black things... so I will use that color scheme... and add some of my things.. .like the twinkling H20's paper... for the Back ground and the heart... I used little half pearls for the center of the flowers... of course the background in white... I used .... yes you guessed it.. .a Martha Stewart border and corner punch... love those things... I will be getting a lot more this week... right Marie??? Thanks Marie for getting all these for me.. .I love them all.. and as you can see I use them all the time...

Hope you have enjoyed these... and I hope that Anne has enjoyed them too...

I am so very happy that she has been choosen to be the featured Stamper today... it is an honor..

Hope you have enjoyed this blog... and hope you will visit again...

A wedding in the Air

A gal that is in our Fat Book Group, is getting married, and she is having a country Wedding... so what could be more perfect than matching outhouses... LOL... I had this stamp sitting on my worktable and when I heard that Robin was getting married I just had to create a card for her using this stamp...

A little rough on his side... and very pretty eyelet on her side... and that is how the background was started...

Then I used the Classical Frame from Spellbinders to create the next layer... very easy to create... cut two white and 2 green frames, and then cut them in half... and sort of raise the green ones to slip out from behind the white ones... glue in place... and you have this glorious setting... now
you can position them anywhere you desire.. which is what I did with the next layer...

A layer with the cuddlebug folder of all hearts... run thru the big shot with a very pretty color of sage paper... and then the outhouses were stamped and painted very carefully... and cut out and added... the entire card is popped in between layers... so it is really a card when you have it in your hands... a bow was added... and then I mailed it to her...
Hope she likes it... it was ceratinly made with a lot of love for her and the love of her life...
Congratuations Robin... all the best to you.. .

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog... hope you enjoyed this card... please leave a comment about it... Thanks in advance...

Making a 3D item...

Okay... a good place to start..

Becky from NC asked how do I make 3D's... so here it is Becky... I hope that you can follow along.. I have a very difficult time doing this all backwards... not my cup of tea at all... but this is what I do...

First off I use fun foam and run it thru my Zyron... on one side only... reason being... that I glue the other side down... more on that later...

Then I print the same picture the size I want it 4-8 times.. depending on how complex the picture is, and how many layers I really want it... I have personally found that 4-5 layers is enough... but sometimes I go a little bit more... all depends... I think you will know when enough is enough... LOL... do we ever know that when we are buying paper... ??? I certainly don't... EVER.,.. always need MORE... more is better in that case???

Oh well I do get a little carried away at times...

Back to the 3D's... When I have my pictures all printed I then cut them apart and start to pick out what I want to pop last... and actually cut that out first... this is all a matter of how you think and your ways can and will be added to this... this whole thing is to get you started... and you will pick your own way of actually doing it...

Then as shown below... you lay them out as you cut them out... so that you can sort of get an idea of what it will look like...

Okay now you have all the four layers cut out and ready to assemble...
that was the most difficult part of the whole process...
The rest is easy as all get out...

I put the fun foam on the lower item.. and then apply the stick glue to the fun foam... reason being that it can slide around until you position it in the place you desire... it works so much better this way...

This has the flower added to the hat...You can see the 3D effect already...
Now add the other layers and you will be

HERE.......

If you looked at the side of the flower it would look like this... But this is really magnified... and I am up very close...

This picture shows you all four layers in place..

The final look of the hat.. with the four layers in place...

I hope that you all enjoyed this... and I would love some comments on if this was helpful to create a 3D item... it is really easy and I would love to see some of your finished 3D's... so please send me the locations...

Hope you enjoyed this..
