Mad Hatters Tea Party

Mad Hatters Tea Party
Today’s challenge on Altered Alice is to make a project using a tea cup… of some kind… so I started to think about what to create ….

AND… this is what I did…

The Mad Hatters Tea Party …. The picture was a black and white digital which I colored with water color pencils… oh I love this picture of the Mad Hatter… so crazy  … anyway don’t you just love him… as wild as he is…
I used colors from the movie on his hat.. and his bow tie is just like him… wild plus… with a red vest…

Behind him, the haunted house and tree  are Tim die cuts… love them too… using distress stains to color both… and then used ROCK CANDY  on the tree so that I could also post this on the Grungy Monday Challenge for using ROCK CANDY…. Love it…

I won a fabulous sheet of stamps from Eclectic Paperie and have the words from these stamps on the very back of the scene… I love them…. I guess I just about love it all… anyway… I was working on another Alice project today and was collecting things and found these adorable tea cups and Tea pot charms… how cute are they… so they had to be used along with a little gold watch… wild!!!! Love it when things come together like this…  A little ideology clip, and tag … and then some seam binding ribbon dyed with stains to match… and I was done…

Of course this also fits into Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge which is ANY THING GOES.... and this is a fun tag for that challenge too...

Now to get this posted!!!!  I am having a lot of trouble with the internet these days… I am on the famous dial up... because AT&T  will not bring the lines one more mile for the rest of us... so sad... the company with no heart at all...  so I am hoping that I can get this up so that you can see it…

Have a nice day… thanks for stopping by for a visit and please come back for more art projects… I am working on them all the time…

Grungy Rock Candy

Birds and bows
Yesterday was GRUNGY    MONDAY  and I had to make something special for this CRACKLE day on the ROCK …. .So I got a tag and started to create something that has been on ‘drawing board’ for a long time… I love this bird sitting on a silver sugar bowl… I use to have one just like it… (a wedding present that I kept for way too long… )  Anyway… I love the color of the bird… the way it has it little beak open to sing a song… so cute…

Anyway… I started to create the back ground and then added my ROCK CANDY crackle…  I had to go do something else as I created this tag in bursts of time in between doing 5 other things… LOL… seems like that is the way my life has been in the past few weeks… crazy… but when I got back it was all crackled and ready to be adorned with other goodies…

So I made my charms… a little birds nest.. some wire, alcohol inks, some white beads for the eggs, and a little tiny silver bird just looking on… a few feathers and some beads… and they were added to the bottom of the tag…

Then I wanted a pretty soft flower… so I got a needle and thread and created my little flower… love it.. I had dyed the ribbon and then made the green loopy vine too…  added a little bow and that section was done…

Then I needed to add a pretty little bird cage… with a friend to talk too… so Just Rites new Bird cage fancy was added… a few dyed ribbons and done…

Of course you have to realize that most of the supplies are from the Tim Holtz line of products.. ... that Ranger carries...  I used the newest line of Distress stains... (don't know how I ever lived without them...)  and then stamped words all over the tag...  the edge was distressed and again colored with black soot distress stains...

The Rock Candy crackle... again Tim's ... so if you dont' have any of these things... your paint box needs some attention... go take a look and see what you need.... LOL... we all need it all dont' we???  I know I seem to HAVE to  have it all..

I hope you have fun today... and that you can create something that makes your heart sing... have fun no matter what it is...
Thanks for taking a look at my fun... see you later on with some more maybe...

Fussy and Frill tag

Happy Monday morning... it is a bright day in Western North Carolina mountains... and I wish it had stayed cloudy and the looks of rain... but we can't change the weather yet... maybe we will be able to soon...

Yesterday was a fun day... Sande, my neighbor and friend came down in the morning hours to play... she brought her Tim Holtz die cut of the mannequin on a stand with her... I love it... have to get it now...  anyway... we made this tag with it...  what a fun time we had...

The bodice of this sweetie was stained using Tims new stains... I had to have them all..  anyway... after we stained the mannaquin, we stamped it and then decorated it...  as you can see at this area I used a butterfly for the bodice...  and a bow at the waist to hold the 'skirt' on...

I guess I should talk about the tag .... we used my new stains on the tag... then we stamped words all over the tag...  distressing the edges and making it look all pretty...  then we proceeded to cover all that prettiness up... LOL... but we had fun doing it...

The other day I was on Hels blog... and she had made the most beautiful tag... I really wanted to get back on there... but this dial up stuff cuts me off... makes it almost impossible to leave a comment and then if you want to say anything at all.. it is just plain difficult...
ANYWAY... If you didn't notice.... I do get carried away with words... Hels had made this tag with a pocket on it... so I had to try that... being new to making these tags like this, I have to try everything that is new... love it all.. so I am pretty darn busy trying everything...

So we made the pocket... and used the theme of sewing for this tag... so we filled the pocket with sewing needles, pink Spinnerin cording, spools of ribbon, etc etc... all neat clip art that I had in my filing system... LOL... (glad I was able to find it.)

Now for the bottom of the skirt... the skirt was made using the Bird cage die cut that is by Tim... love it too.. never thought I would use it as much as I do...  wow... love these die cuts.. will have to get some more... I need a much larger studio than I have too.. and let me tell you I have a nice size one... LOL...

The skirt was colored using the stains again... and then I attached some lace and the snaps... and a few shrms... the one safety pin has a fish on it... sorry that it turned around... I attached the sewing deffination to the cage and that was it...

Looking thru the 'skirt' you can see the pocket... where I have put a lot of buttons, and also a needle case that opens to show all the needles...  (all paper)

Okay... I know you want to see inside the pocket...
It is really filled with all the sewing needs of the average sewer... I loved filling it up...
hooks and eyes, needles, and even rick rack which was so part of an outfit back in the day...

I just had to show you this spool .... I was going to wrap thread around it... but then decided that the ribbon was better for me to use... (didn't take as long either)

When I got it all wrapped I decided that the pins were also needed... so I stuck a few into the ribbon...

Love that added little touch...
Of course it is held with some Ideology by Tim...

I love my tag... and later after Sande left, Marie and April came over... just to pick up a few things... and they both loved it too.. .It is so much prettier in real life... but most things are ... we just have to realize that when looking at things in this box...

Anyway... this morning when checking on the challenges I wanted to do... I found that Simon Says Stamp and Show had a free for all... ANYTHING GOES theme... !!!  WOW ... does this fit??? LOL..So now you have seen my latest tag... what do you think.. is it Frilly and Fancy???

Hope you have a nice day... and I am praying for some rain... we need it so very much.. the plants in our gardens are so thirsty...  Thanks for sending any rain our way... see you soon... as I hope you will come back again real soon... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Love for Life

Oh what a sweet picture of my maternal grandparents... it was taken on the day that they announced their engagement...  a long long time ago... almost a hundred years ago... short only2 years... wow... a life time of love...  or Love for life...

This tag was made for a few challenges...

Grungy Monday Grunge board to be used, which are the letters on the fancy label... LOVE which were stained with Faded jeans stain, and then the edges with Black soot stain...

I used white glossy to make the dot on each letter... just for some added texture... the fancy label was colored with some perfect pearls ...

Simon Says Stamp and Show wanted embossing going on ... so I did a little bit of embossing... I have heart embossed the whole tag...I also embossed and spritzed the paper behind the picture of my grandparents...

Theme Thursday   Wanted ROMANCE... which I think I have here with this picture... yikes... they were married thru some really pretty tough times.. .the depression and from then until the late 60's...  when my grandfather crossed over into heaven...  So this was on their engagement day... up on an island that my grandmother grew up on in Maine... called Orr's Island... her last name was Prince... and her father's store still stands with the Prince name on it... the house she was born in is also still standing there... so many family memories... I spent many summers in Maine on this same island... a happy summer time place...

Lots of romance on the island all the time... way too many cousins were born from January until May...

I added the charms on the bottom of the tag... My grandmother loved pearls... and the key says LIFE on it... and the white heart was for pure love... the light bulb... a funny story...

Funny Story... My grandfather was a sick man... bed ridden with arthritis most of his later years of life... so we amused himself with drawing, painting, and writing... some of his writings I have published for him... poems and so much love in each and every one of them... well in doing this I found a list of things that had been invented in his life time... one was a light bulb... I thought about making a list like that... but the list would be endless... as something is invented almost every minute of each 24 hours of every day... but back then... not many ... but very powerful items... like the car, plane, LIGHT BULBS... so I put one on this tag as a reminder...  to me about the list..

The flower... I used Tim Holtz's Floral die cut... and used pages from a book and cut the flowers out... I used Antique linen on the edges and then created the flower...

The seam binding tape was colored with the excess dye for the background and also the perfect pearls left on the work sheet... never leave anything unused at all.. LOL...

Now you have all the reasons why I made this tag... now I have to turn this tag into a page for my book on my Mothers life growing up...

Thanks for taking a look at my tag... look below at the other one I made at the same time... also for my book..

Stay cool and enjoy today... Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

Tags for my book

I finally got around to having a day when I could work on some personal tags... I have spent the last two weeks creating Fall, Halloween and Christmas tags for classes... I love them.. and they are very special to me... hope that others do too...  I love to teach others what little I know... so that they can play more too...

Okay... so here is one of the tags I just created... it is for a few challenges...

Grungy Monday... to use Grunge board  so I used the letters FLY...
Simon Says Stamp and Show  ... to do some embossing... so I did a tag with an embossed bird cage using Distressed embossing powder...

Gingersnap challenge was to use a plane or train... so I used a picture of my Grandfather with his 'flying machine' ... he had my Mom in his arms here and also a flag for something that we are not totally sure what he was using it for...  but the whole tag is all around flying...  My Grandfather always use to tell me that when he got up in the air he could see all the little houses... and all the trees... so the background is trees .... along with butterflies (which are embossed with heavy duty Utee to create a thick look... )

The other little tag and the wording is from Just Rites Spread your wings cling stamps... I think that they are so cute... anyway.. the saying on the small tag and also on the large on is Spread your Wings and FLY....

I will use this tag to create a page for the scrapbook I am making on my mothers life... I love making these...  Hope you enjoy them too...

It's very hot down here in the mountains today... but not as hot as some other places... I am staying cool... and enjoying myself creating...  My hubby is out watering the garden... trying to save some of the plants that are suffering ... I make sure he takes lots of water out with him... and he always can cool off in the watering system if need be...

Stay cool... and enjoy...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... Love, Light and Peace.. Bonnie

Merry Christmas bird

Merry Christmas in July... what fun this is.. I have been working on some Christmas tags for the past few days here... so have been all into Christmas anyway... and I love it... especially on these super hot days... makes me think of winter and the cool days, and the possibility of snow and sometimes I actually feel cooler... oh well.. maybe a little tiny bit...

This week I have made this ornament for two challenges... one is for the GRUNGY MONDAY challenge... On this one we have to use GRUNGE Board... which is a favorite of Tim Holtz  ... so this is also for Simon Says Stamp and Show which is to emboss something...

So I went over to my work table which is covered with all kinds of things for Christmas.. .and thought about what I could create... sitting there were also my newest Just Rite Stamps... oh what a pretties they are...  So I started to stamp out a few of them.. and I embossed a few... colored them and totally enjoyed playing with them...

The grunge board was not a problem for me at all... as I use that in a lot of creations these days...  so that was the easy part... I saw this cute little bird cage sitting all empty and decided to create something for the inside and outside of this....  Now of course I would need a little bird... not a problem...A little Grunge board... some Fired Red Distress ink and some tissue tape... all Tim's creations..my bird was done.. and ready to be hung inside the cage...     something on the bottom of the cage... sheet music... that is just right...

Okay... now for the ornaments on the side... both from my newest  stamps from Just Rite... a little embossing and coloring  and a little Jingle Bells...

Christmas will be here before we know it... yikes...

I also wanted to share with you another Christmas item... a Tag from the collection that I am working on... I love this one... so very special...

I am going to be teaching a few classes at a local store with these Tags... so am getting everything ready for them...  here is this special tag...

Of course the reason I chose this one, is that it also has embossing and grunge board on it...  The wings, letters and fancy tag are all Grunge board...  I added a little lace, and also some Perfect pearls to finish the look off...

I know that I will have fun teaching this one... as it is so much fun using all these fun toys...

Hope that you have a happy day and enjoy the summer-ness that is all around us...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... come back soon for more chit chat...  and some paper fun... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Flowers a plenty

Flowers are one of my very favorite things in life... I love them all... Real ones and also love making paper ones, metal ones and even make flowers out of food, like radishes...  love flowers...

So today when the Challenge on Ink on my Fingers was to make a flower... it certainly was not a hard challenge...  I decided that I would use a box that I had made though, and the reason is a very very good one in all ways...

My studio is all Christmas theme.... as I have been working on projects all week to teach techniques and have totally trashed the studio in all ways.... so today I will be picking it up and getting things a little bit more organized so that I can continue to work tomorrow on more projects...  and more techniques...

So this box!!!  Oh wow... I love the way it turned out... I had sorted out all kinds of 12 x 12 papers for making envelopes out of ... as I needed to get rid of some of my stash... and these three pieces of lavender and violet papers jsut screamed to be used to make some flowers... so I sat there and made a 'few' and when I made them, I wasn't really sure how I would use them.. but they were so pretty that they would be going on something special... When I was making a few boxes one day... I put them all on this one box and drapeed them down the sides too... with a big bow... very fussy and pretty... even added some lavender leaves!!!!  Ever seen lavender leaves???  Me neither.. but now we both have...

I am having a class to teach how to make flowers on August 6th... and if you would like to join us please check out this site... and sign up for this fun class... we will make a box, and at least 3 different kinds of flowers... including a metal one...So come on over and join in on the fun.. the store... Scrapbook Creations is loaded with all kinds of fun... there is even a cottage where you can stay overnight, so that you and your friends can crash when you are tired... and scrap until the wee hours... and have a blast... Ice cream store is attached and under the same roof... what fun is that... !!!!  What a place to have fun.

So would love to see you there... we will have a fun time... have a wonderful time today.. and enjoy what ever it is you are going to do...  I will have lots to share with you in a few weeks... so keep busy creating and love it all...
Thanks for stopping by today.. and again...

My Nana's Rose Garden

Rose Garden

My Nana had a beautiful Rose garden, so this is in honor of that garden… the picture is of my Mom and her brother ( Lew) and my Nana… tending to the garden… picking the roses… and making pretties…

The page… oh what fun I had making it…  the background paper I made with twinkling H20’s… and then the orange and peach sheet I created with some distress inks with perfect pearls…  how yummy…  then I used a grid to make the sewing holes… as this is challenge for Simon Says stamp and show challenge…

The three circles on the right are from the top… Just Rite, and the  next one is also a Just Rite circle too… then the frame is a Spellbinder… which I cut out the center to make the frame…

The flowers… I used the tattered floral die cut… Tim Holtz’s… and then spritzed with my mini misters… using distress inks and perfect pearls…  they match the papers… I love it…

The butterfly… I used the Spellbinder fancy of flight… butterfly and then layer underneath it with some paper that I made with my mini misters again… oh my goodness…. Have I told you that I LOVE these things???? LOL…

Hope you have a fun day…
Create all you can…
And totally enjoy it all..

Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit… wish I could stop by yours… I need to be able to get out to see all that is going on in the blog world… hopefully someday we will get dsl… or some thing that is faster than two tin cans with a string… (did you ever try that when you were a kid..??? I did and it didn’t work… still doesn’t!!! )

By the Sea

By the Sea in Florida… that is where my Mom grew up in her early years of life… Florida was the main residence and Maine the summertime residence…  what a life she led.

This picture is with her Dad …. Check out the bathing suits… My Grandfather would not like the bathing suits of today at all… he thought that my bathing suits as a small girl were not right… they were rather ‘indecent’ and I was only 5 …. In the 1949’s… wow… would he ever flip…

Okay… this page was created with a lot of Tim Holtz techniques…  hope you will check out Grungy Monday… as this is another technique… really a fun one…and also a challenge to try for your self... come on over and join in on the fun...

I used the main technique on my tag… and then used the multi colored and clear embossing on the large shell print…  love it…  the tag up close looks like sand… and that is what I was trying to get… so it is perfect for this…

I also made all the shells and other papers using distress inks with Perfect pearls in them… I am totally addicted to them… had my hubby build me a holder for 84 Mini misters…  and they will all have different colors  in them… yikes… am I spoiled or what!!!!  I think I love this stuff… LOL…

Okay… so my shells,  which are stamps by Inkadinkado and Zia were put onto the paper (as described above)  and then I cut them out…    The sand castle and shovel and pail are Spellbinders…  the other shells… that match the stamp are Cuttlebugs…. And so is the shell embossing paper… which I also used distress inks on the edges of it…

I love this look… and the page really glimmers…I even painted the background paper with Twinkling H2o’s… just to give more seashore look.   I know it doesn’t look it here… but in real life it is a wonderful glimmering sunny beach page!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day… we are very very humid and again doing rain dances… My hubby picked okra, beans, kale, and cukes today… so guess what I am doing this afternoon.????

Enjoy what ever you are doing… I certainly will be…

Paper lace, butterfly and flower....

Today is a dreary Sunday here... and yet NO RAIN... we are doing rain dances... but still no RAIN....  if you are having rain... please send it to us...  we would love to have some... our crops are in deep need of some...

So because of this type of day, I decided to spruce up a few boxes that I will be using for samples at my Box and Flower class in August... this box needed something and when I saw the Sunday Stamper Challenge... which is called Those Magnificent Men in their flying Machines...  and we have to do something that is flying... and that can be a bird, insect or butterfly... so I thought  this would be perfect...

I used my spellbinder and also my swiss dot Cuttlebug embossing folder and created this yummy butterfly.. I made the paper by using my distress inks, and perfect pearls... just the right touch I needed for this box... I also added some seam binding ribbon around the box... for yet another finishing touch... DONE... and I love it...

One of the reasons that I love this Scrapbook Creations store is that there is a cottage and 'ice cream' store attached...  there is enough room for 10 gals plus to stay there... and also to scrap the entire week-end... and also take one of my classes... so for all those gals that keep on telling me that they wish they could come and play at my studio... can now come and play here as well... Also you can see all my classes here too...

Well... I better get back to my rain dancing... it is going to be a long summer of dancing for us..  LOL...

Hope you have a wonderful day...and thanks so very much for taking time to stop by for a visit..

Tags and glimmer

Challenges... what a blast they are... I love doing them... BUT the biggest problem is that I then have to link to the blogs... and that is my largest problem... as I am still on this "LOVELY THING" called dial up... at least I have that... but it is so S L O W ....

So I wanted to do three challenges... and I combined them all onto one project... I am still working on the scrapbook of my Mom while she was growing up...  so here is my most recent page...

So the three challenges are this...
Simon Says Stamp and Show ...  something with a flourish...

Theme Thursday... the theme was WINGS....

Gingersnap  which is to do Transportation.... with a steampunk attitude...

So here is what I have I created...
I had created all these fun spritzers using Distress Inks... and Perfect pearls.... oh I love them... so fantastic.... So I also used some Tim Holtz's masks... and I used the flourish masks... three of them... love the background... You will see just that in a minute...

Then I made all these little tags... and on each one a picture of my Mom and my Nana with CARS.... wow...

For the WINGS... I used a Tim Holtz stamp with a bird cage... and then added a bird using his cage and bird die cut.... I cut the bird out with AC foil... so it was silver... so I used distress embossing powder to create the pretty colors on my little bird..

So here is the background paper that I made...

I used as I said some Tim Holtz masks... and also my distress/perfect pearls to create this paper...

AND also used the same on my rose which is made from parchment paper.. and then the glimmer put on it...

I wrinkled the entire paper prior to putting the rose on there...

I also took a sheet of package plastic... and used my archival inks to print a few flourishes on there...

I used stamples to attach the plastic to the paper... which was also mounted onto a sheet of black bazzill paper... love that paper too... which created a pocket for the tags to fit into and for easy viewing...
I really didn't want to hide the background paper... but at the same time... that is what it is... BACKGROUND... but I love it... that is why my paper stash is so very large... too many pieces of paper that are too perfect to use for things... LOL...

So Gingersnap challenge was TRANSPORTATION.... and that is why I used only pictures of my mom with cars... they had a lovely car and always had fresh flowers in the vases on the wall of the car... I still can sort of remember them on  the side of one of the cars we had when I was small... can you image that today.... YIKES....

My Mom is sitting here waiting to go to the beach... the bird I told you about above...

Here is a picture of my Mom stepping out of the car... look at the precious little "bloomers"... so cute...

I used some Spellbinder lace on the side of this tag... I made all my tags using the Distress inks with Perfect pearls added... love that stuff.... of course you remember that I also make all my ribbons by using seam binding and dyes.... oh I guess I am totally addicted to that... the man where you order it from... he knows the lasts 4 digits of my credit card without looking it up... is that good???? LOL...

Here is a picture of my Mom and Nana... at the beach...  cute litttle WOOLEN bathing suit... and they lived in FLORIDA.... of course it was not proper for a LADY to put on a swim suit, so my poor Nana had on a dress and stocking and hat when they were at the beach...

ugh... glad I was born when I was...

I used some more perfect pearls and distress inks to create the tag... and also some spellbinder paper laces...  and of course seam binding tape on all the tags...

So that is my page... and all the tags nicely fit into the pocket... and the page is really nice in the book...

Hope that you are having fun creating... I love doing that... going to make some paper beads this afternoon for a friend... she sent me a pretty letter and and the sides of the letter had flowers... so will make some beads and attach them to a piece of ribbon for her... she will love using them in her art... so much fun to swap things around...

We are also going to do some rain dances this afternoon... praying for a lot of rain... so we don't loose our butternut squash crop...

Thanks for coming by for a visit... and hope that you come back tomorrow...

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

Riley's Book

What a special day it is when my Grandson comes and we make a book!!!!
He is 6 years old... and will be 7 in 12 days...  so I thought it would be fun to make a book all about his 6th year on the earth...

HE made the book... I just told him some things to do... but basically HE made the book...

The first thing that he did was to make all his dye stained ribbons... like me ... he had a blast doing it... and if I had let him, he would have done my last roll of 100 yards of seam binding... LOL... As it was I think he made about 20 yards... and one piece is prettier than the next...

Then he made some charms with shrinking plastic... one was a pumpkin scene for his pumpkin patch picture.... you can see the pumpkin charm by the Y...  hanging down...

Then he started to make the actual book, by making the paper for the cover.... he used some Tim Holtz masks... and then got into my sprays... oh my goodness... does he LOVE them...  I had to stop him before he made a muddy color...

But ont he back he chose all bright colors... and it is so great... we had to chop off some of his name, as the number 6 didn't allow for everything to get on there...

But both pieces of paper really came out GREAT... he loves art and creating... and really takes great pleasure in the whole piece...

Then we traced the pattern that he made for the covers... and he cut out about 12 pieces of cardstock for the inside pages...  Meanwhile, I printed some pictures out for him.. and cut them all into nice pictures to be mounted onto each page...

On each page we put what it was... like first day he was 6 at his birthday party..... first day of school, friends, Halloween, Christmas, etc. etc...

But on the very first page, I traced around his hand... and he wrote his name on the inside of it..

I did the same with our kids ... but at the time I was into quilting ... so I have their hand prints on pillows... I love them so very much... they are so cute...

Riley's hand still had ink all over the side when he wrote his name and smeared the ink down the side!!! But hey... it is so cute... who cares...

The book is almost filled... but he still has a few days, and then maybe he will even find some more pictures that are special that he will put into this little book...

I certainly did have a fun time... and know that in years to come he will hopefully look back on the this special day when we made this book...

Happy Birthday Riley...  Love Nana...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit to my blog of things... hope that you have a nice day and will create something special with someone special too... Love, Light and Peace... .Bonnie

Nature Love of birds

Happy Monday... Happy 4th of July... just a happy day...  Our daughter and her family are arriving here tonight for a couple of days... and so we are happy that they will be with us..

I am going to take my grandson and make an altered book with him... he is turning 7 and so I thought it would be fun to make a book of his 6th year of life...  trace his little hand for days in the future when it is big... I still have our kids little prints... in so many ways... but my favorite is that I quilted them... what a fun way to remember how tiny they were... Oh well.. there I go chatter again... so sorry... but that is so me...

Here is my tag for  challenge ... I really had fun making this tag... I am suppose to be cleaning... but hey... my studio needed to be 'cleaned' too... right...???

So I made this yummmy flower from a wipe that I use in the studio... and then using Tim Holtz's Tattered floral die... cut it out... there must have been some glitter on the table too... as there is glitter all over this flower...  and a little metallic gold mixed in too..

It is also for Grungy Monday ..  using a technique that Tim totally explains... on this great technique lesson... love these things... thanks so much Linda for this great challenge page... I love it... and look forward to Mondays... even though it is called GRUNGY MONDAY.... I love it all.. and being grungy... isn't that part of making art... decorating the studio and yourself... ???

So this technique tells you how to take an ink... and turn it into wonderful sparkling inks... I my goodness what fun... I think I need another 200 mini misters... I love these...

I made up about 10 of them... and spritzed a lot of tags... and finally settled on a couple that I really loved for this project...

I took Sailboat blue and mixed in Sunflower perfect pearls... and then did the same with bottle... oh what fun...  prior to spritzing them... I used white dabber to create a background of florals... from the same stamp set that the bird is from...  and then I spritzed the tag... let it all dry ... and then started to stamp words, and gauze, and birds...  You are missing the best part of this tag... as it totally glistens all over... love it...

There are of course a few other things that I love to do on this tag also... like the ribbon... oh Shelly... did you ever think that you would create a ribbon freak out of me???  I am totally addicted to this ribbon.. love all the colors, and mixing it all... and then keeping it a box that I can see all the colors so brightly shining out asking to be used... so I had to use two of my favorites on this tag...  the ribbons also have flecks of gold on it... to match the shining of the over all tag...

I attached the word FIND... because we all need to help birds in so many ways... by keeping poisons out of the environment... no bug sprays, no insect sprays of any kind... this just hurts our pretty song birds... they all have a song... and we hear them all year long... just listen...  they are wonderful... so find more love for the birds that live near and with you...

My little blue bird is made from a Tim Holtz die cut... and I used AC metal to cover chipboard... and then alcohol inks to color the bird... I want this little one a little textured... so I added some Weathered Blue Distress embossing powder to the top of the bird...

Now this bird is holding a new bead that I just made... it is made with fiber... and I love making them... also a little ultra thick Utee... wow love it... making some ore when I get a chance...  the ribbon.. oh well had to use a little more of this great stuff...

So that is my tag... I will use it on a scrapbook page... and not really sure yet which page will get embellished with it... I do love the tag... and the delicate-ness of it...  hope you enjoy all these challenges too... and have a great MONDAY... and a GREAT and SAFE 4th...  have some watermelon... I made 1000's of watermelon balls this morning... and had to snack as I was doing it too... they will be so pretty in a watermelong bowl... with some mint leaves... delicious for a pre-diner treat...

Thanks for stopping by today... and please come back soon...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
