A spooky book

A spooky book that I LOVE... I had started it for our grandson... but fell so in love with it, that I made him another one!!!  He can decorate it, as I bought all kinds of stickers for him to put them where he thinks they belong!!!

A spooky night out there tonight...
The paper for the house was a sheet of 12 x 12 paper... and I cut it up to be shown on all the pages in this one book...

I also bought some stickers for accent in different places...
But I also created things like the spooky tree...  with writing all over it...
And the background paper on this page...
and I had to add this fun purple witches hat... how cute is that..

As you move from page to page it is so much fun... that is why I have taken the time to post all the pages.. hopefully you will be come inspired to make a few for your grand children too..

 Spooks ahead.... turn back now...
How much fun is this...

As each page progressed it was more and more fun... little ghosts slithering out of windows...
Witches brew up a batch of something good...
I took all my $1.00 stamps and put them onto a a block and stamped them... love the look...

A place to write down what your costume was this year...
I haven't decided what I am going to wear... have you???

Oh my... it is not too far away..
I used a Tim Holtz house die cut and then used a brick stamp that I made with fun foam... and using my resist ink and some distress embossing powder I created this spooky house addition...

Another witch... just being a witch...  more bricks in back of her... love that look
 Beware of the spiders...

and the bugs...

Creatures of the Night.... PUMPKINS.... sitting on a fence...

All in glitter... !!!

A pretty blue witch with a lot of pumpkins...

A cute little poem about three pumpkins...

I know that any child would enjoy this book... as well as most adults... such a fun place to look thru...

as you go thru this little book, there are pages that turn from the right and left... so when you are on the last page, you have a spread like this... Spookville...

I do hope that you have enjoyed your trip thru Spookville today... and that you too will create a little book for someone that would enjoy it...  I certainly had fun... and I know that Sande, my neighbor and I had a blast making these...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

For the Birds

Sometime when I start to work on something I am not really sure what it is going to turn into... this is one of those projects... It started out as one thing... and ended up being a bird sanctuary that I am going to send to my Mom... LOL....

I made the box with some sheets of cardboard... and then covered them with bo bunny paper and also K&co papers.... and then using some of the bird cage die cuts from Tim Holtz and Spellbinders created the background... added some little birds of all kinds... and a few paper flowers that I made... here are some closeups of the box...
Starting over on the far right hand side... you can see that I have used some Spellbinder paper laces... love this Grand lace die...  very elegant... I also took one of the bird cages from the Mini bird and cage die cut of Tim's and embossed it with silver...  the little blue bird is 'painted' with crackle... and so is the lower bird .... one in Weathered wood and the larger one in Tattered rose... love it...

The larger flower I made using the Tattered floral die cut of Tim's... and the smaller Victorian Velvet colored flower is one of the ideology trimmings colored... Love those little flowers... so perfect for all kinds of filling in needs...

The pearls I love... I found those at Wally world...and the colors just seemed right for me at the time... I love the colors for a shabby chic project...  so I added some at the bottom to give it some weight...

Moving to the middle of the box...

I had bought this really cute metal bird cage with a tiny little bird sitting on a swing...  so adorable... I love it... so I dangled one in this box... what could be more perfect???

I dyed the seam binding ribbons to match the color of the Victorian Velvets in the project...  this ribbon really makes a project just all match... and blend so perfectly... I love it... dont' really know how I lived without it...

Okay...over at the far left side of the box... more flowers... and more lace and more embossed bird cages... and some just 'plain' ones too... I love all the bows, and paper laces...  and of course the flowers... so shabby chic and I have to say I love this feeling...

How about you...

Thanks for stopping by today... and hope that you have a wonderful day... I am getting ready for the holidays... making presents and making piles for each person on our lists...  so very much fun for me... I love giving each person some things that I have made during the year... and also a really much needed item that they really need...

Hope that you have fun and enjoy your time creating... see you tomorrow with some more things that I have been making...

So much alike

When I start to create, I forget what I have already done... and sometimes they will look alike... these two are very similar... yet so very different... no two are truly the same... just as in nature... not two are 100% alike... there are always a few things a little different...

I love the black corner punching... I used a 3.25 square and punched all the way around with a corner punch... love it... so cute...
Try it...

A few brads and a bow can also make a huge difference... love it... I love my words too... no matter what color... I love them and I love my crows and all my birds... I will go a little 3 D with these maybe...  have so many projects that are just screaming to be done...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... see you tomorrow... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

A Candle for YOU

My sweet husbands birthday is coming up, and I am going to put this tag on his present... he will love it...

He loves Sweet Pea women.. and will love the purple on this too...

I made this also for a challenge... Ink on My Fingers...  where Hels wanted us to use resist on the creation... so this I did...

I used white dabber on a white piece of cardstock... and stamped all over it with a couple of Tim's stamps... the music score and also a floral spray... then I used two of my newest trio of colors... Seedless Preserves and Ripe Persimmon and smeared them all over my worksheet and misted...

When done, I cut out the area I liked the best... dont' worry... I will use the rest of the sheet very wisely... I saved every single piece of it...

I did use a combo of alcohol inks to create the 'same' color as the Seedless preserves for my metal flower... also used tattered floral die cut ... what else.

I created a charm... and added it with a pin...

The little white flowers are from Ideology trimmings... I left them white to shoe up the background...

I used my Distress Stickles on the wings,  (milled Lavender ) and on the candle  (shabby Shutters, and also on her hair... (scattered straw)  I colored my seam binding ribbon with smearing the ink pad on the work sheet and then spritzing... and cleaning up the sheet with the white ribbon... what a wonderful way to clean up..LOL.. I added a brown ruffle, which I used a piece of a brown paper bag... and then top dressed it with some seam binding ribbon and bow...  a few little stick pins... and was done...

Less 'waffling' on this one right???

I am really tired and need to go to bed... but so wanted to get these posted... as tomorrow is a full full day with shopping and then more shopping ... and still more shopping... that we were suppose to do today... but never got around to it... so I was able to make my tags... and get this posted...

Thanks for taking a look see... and hope you enjoy  these as much as I did making them...

Have a wonderful day... and hope to see you tomorrow with more new things... Love, Light and Peace....Bonnie

Sweet Pea Tags with RESIST! !

Today being Sunday, I went on Ink on my fingers to see what Hels Sheridan had created... so many times I start on a project for this wonderful blog... but then something happens and I never get it posted... so this week I was determined to not only make something... but get it posted...  YEAH... I won...

Okay...  the challenge was to made something with a RESIST of some type... oh how I love to do resists of all types... no matter what they are... I love to use them for tags, cards, scrapbook pages, papers, you name it... resist is so much fun... I love it... so the hardest part of this was .....which resist technique to use...  so I used the same one as Hels did...  with the dabber... I also got my Fall trio of colors.. and had made a set of tags a few days ago...  I love these colors... I didn't think I would love them as much as I do... and all together is really magnificent... love it...
So on this tag... I started out with white dabber and then sponged on the Gathered Twig Distress ink... which I agree with you Hels.. .the pads are really juicy... and I dont' buy a pad without the re-inker... but did find ways to get the same mileage from just the pad...

I created the paper for the flowers like you did with 'smearing' the ink pad on my work sheet... and then cut them out with Tim's
Tattered Floral die cut... love that too...

I did use all three colors... on three separate sheets of cardstock... and did make a ton of flowers... didn't know which I would want to use...

Then I made some seam binding ribbon with the pad... smearing it on the work sheet and then spritzing with water... and wiping it all up... love the look.. not deep not light...
I made the little flowers, but sewing them... and wire in the green ribbon for some stiffness and body.. the little leaves.. well they are made and that is all I am going to say about them... at this point...
I decided to use the Gathered Twigs flowers on the top... loved the look of them with the black stamen...

On the bottom the 'Pinkish' colored flower, is also from the Seedless preserves... very very diluted... but it almost matches the Victorian Velvet on her dress and headpiece... which are accented with Distress Stickles...

The background is very diluted Gathered Twigs and then a light brushing of Seedless Preserves... I just love these colors...  something that I generally would NEVER use... but tried to stick to the colors...

I did dye the top ribbons with some Victorian Velvet, some antique linen and some other Mini misters that happened to jump into my hands...  so they are a real mixture of colors... LOL.. I did have a blast of fun with this tag... and hope that you enjoy it...

The stamp is a Sweet Pea stamp... I think she is so sweet... and love the look of her... Thanks for stopping by... and also for any comments you leave... I love to read them... and really appreciate them greatly...

Have a super great day... and for those across the pond... enjoy the day earlier... we will never catch up with you... but enjoy everything 6 hours later where I live...

Thanks for the great challenge Hels... and I do look forward to joining in on more... even though I am on this fantastic thing called dial up  (NOT FUN!!!)  I try to get things done... and posted... I just have some trouble getting to some of the blogs with all the blinkies on the sidelines...

Thanks again...

Oh my goodness... what a sheer delight this was!!!  As most of you know... it is one of my very favorite things to add to a background... so I started to play... and had four entries... I could have done more...  but I felt funny doing more than 4!!!

Anyway...  I WON... I won a fantastic stamp of Alice activities... no matter what it is... I will use it and love it... Thanks so very much ALTERED ALICE...

A different outlook

No matter where you are in life, you can see fall when it arrives in your area... you know the signs ... you have the new smells in your head... you see the colors and you know that winter is around the corner... so here this crow is yelling to his fellow crows to gather up the extra acorns and get them hidden... LOL... the Moon is full ... and the pumpkins are ripe... yikes.. it is happening again... the seasons are changing ...

The Herons are still flying and they must also store a lot of foods for the winter months... as up north a lot of the local waterways freeze... of course a running river they can catch a fish or two...

Hope you are becoming inspired to create some of these 'inkings' too... I love doing them... can you tell... on tags, papers that I can use my spellbinders on.. anything... just as long as my fingers get inky in the process... love it all...

Have a fun day... enjoy...
Hope to see you tomorrow...

Tim's New inks = new mess ! ! !

Okay when I got my new Tim Holtz Fall SPECIAL colored Distress INKS... I had to create a mess to see what I really wanted to make.... I inked up papers, ribbons, spritzed with water, with mini misters that would match etc... I just had a lot of fun...
Then I got down to some serious business...

One sheet of paper that I had inked and stritzed with water, I cut into flowers for all these tags... and then added some stamen to some of them...

Then I grabbed three tags, and inked them in all different ways... and also grabbed some crackle and crackled some paper to go with these.. even though I only used a couple of them... I still had fun...

I grabbed my Sweet Pea stamps and colored them in to go with these wonderful inks...
It is not hard to use these colors... LOL.. they are wonderful for this time of year... it is like eating local and also in season... (I love to cook and eat healthy too... so excuse me if I bring in my other love... cooking)  These colors are so easy to use at this time of year...
I took a piece of the ruffle from the trimmings ideology package and colored that Gathering Twig ( brown )  and love that....
The purple looks a little pinkish... but it is a deep wonderful color...  I used it on the first tag above... with a foam pad... I love the color...

Here you can see the crackle going on... but I used all the colors to color the tag its self!!!  Had fun with that... I love these colors anyway at this time of year...

The ribbon was also dyed with them...

I used some of the distress stickles on this little nymph of the pumpkin patch .... I love them too.. .I guess you could safely say I love the Ranger Products... LOL...

I used Spun sugar on the cats wings... and then all over the hat, and picked spiced marmalade for the pumpkins...  what fun I had making these ....
Okay... then I got into a more serious background... I used an embossing folder and a tag.... and then with a foam pad, colored the pumpkins and background of the tag... then used an embossing PEN to color the leaves and vines ... then embossed with Shabby Shutters... love the texture of the leaves... so wonderful... of course you can't feel it... but you can with your eyes right????

I added some of the flowers... and then felt a need for more... so I added some that I colored with the purple pad... and from the trimmings package...
Her wings I used Milled Lavender Distress stickles on them... and the ruffle on the bottom is from a very thin piece of brown paper bag... and I wrinkled it all up and glued it onto the bottom of the tag...

I love this tag the best of all.. How about you... which one do you like the best???

The little sayings on the bottom of each
tag are from a Tim Sheet of stamps... I think these are so cute... stamped a bunch and will use as I need them...

How rich is that purple ink... can't think of the name of it.. but it is wonderfully deep and rich!!!

What a lovely set if colors... thanks Tim.. thanks Ranger... love them.

Hope you have a wonderful day... and hope to see you come back for another visit tomorrow... thanks for stopping by today...
Rainy looking here thank goodness... and hopefully a little of the wet stuff too... we certainly need it desperately...

A good day to play and create... have a fun one...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Purple and Yellow

When you think of Fall what colors come into your mind... Yellow and Orange and most likely browns... well how about PURPLE... VIOLETs, greens... and all kinds of colors in the leaves... I love the fall colors... they are so reminiscent of the spring and summer months... but in a quicker mode... so watch carefully... as they come and go very quickly...  Love it...
I used some special punching also for this card...  and some gold thread... I went wild with it... no special pattern... just enjoyed being wild... love to let go once in a while...

Hope you have enjoyed these... I love the fall... can you tell...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... enjoy the colors around you.. create with them... enjoy local of all kinds in all ways...

Two Favorites

When we use to live in NJ we always could look out the side of our house to see the Herons, landing, fishing and mating... they are very very special birds to us... I love their gracefulness... and yet they look so very ungraceful in so many ways...  they are wonderful birds... so this is to all the Herons we loved and watched for hours on end...

And we did look out over our pond... but it didn't look like this... I wish it had, we would still be there... LOL..

There are moments in ones life that are special... and that is what this is all about... special moments to remember...
ps.  The pond has a slight layer of ice on it... an early winter in some places..  brrrrr... I can feel the chill already...

Have a nice day... stay warm... it is chilly here...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... Love, Light and peace... Bonnie

On a more serious note

You know how one thing begets another... well my hubby drilled holes in a 2x4 for my mini misters... it holds 100 some odd misters... YEAH... now to fill them all.. so the other day I splurged and bought the rest of the mister... so I had to fill them.... right...  I had a blast mixing all the colors with the Perfect Pearls... yummy... one different one after the other...  I love the copper mixed in with a green... I used it on this ATC... Copper and Bundled Sage... oh what a wonderful color combo...  So I played with the colors and misting them onto my work sheet and lifting them off with a piece of card stock... and before I knew it, I had a stack of wonderful background papers... I made this ATC with one of the sheets... Bundled Sage and Copper Perfect Pearls...  then I took a stamp... by Tim of course... and I call him the traveler... I used a clear embossing on him... and then used a distress stain all around just him... cut him out to fit on the ATC and then stamped the saying... THE JOURNEY AWAKENS THE SOUL....  how very true... but only if you allow it to...  I used some tissue tape up in the corner... and put the whole paper onto another background paper... that was stamped with my favorite words stamp...  The dragonfly represents me... I am on the journey to learn all I need to know...

Another background paper... using Distress inks on the tree stamp by Tim...  I loved the paper... so I didnt' want to add too much ... the paper is the main part of the ATC...  I glued it onto the corrugated card board... and then added a few stickers which I found in my Halloween bin.. I had bought these as I loved this CROW with the pumpkin... he is super...
Added a few acorns... and then
on the back wrote the word FALL...  and put a few pumpkins and a leaf... love these and the paper...

I really had fun with these ATC's for the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge... I have not made an ATC in a very very long time... it felt good to work small again...

Trying something different all the time is always fun... keeps you from staying in a box... as you don't learn anything at all staying in the BOX... get out of the box that we all live in... try something different today...

Thanks for stopping by... and come on back tomorrow...
Please scroll down for more new things... I have been double posting the past couple of days... you never know how prolific I can get at times...

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

ATC's in a Pumpkin Box

Okay... I got a little carried away... but what else is new???  I always seem to go a little over board... and I totally enjoy doing that too...

Again... I was still on a roll.. and made a few more ATc's for the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge...

I still had a few more pieces of the corrugated cardboard from the box... so I went to town... a little pumpkin... a Tim skull and cross bones...  a few labels...  and some seam binding ribbon... dyed with distress stains...

A leaf from Tattered leaf die cut... (tim's leaf die cut!!!)  and a Tim Stamp... Happy Halloween...
and then a Spellbinder scene... with the screaming tree.. how cute is that...

and a little black cat I found at the bottom of my Halloween bin... In my studio I have special bin's for holidays... like a Halloween one... all the Halloween things are in there... like paper, stamps, stickers, cut outs etc... and then I can find them when I need them... when that holiday comes around, I pull out the bin and everything is in there... I don't have to go looking for it... so easy on my brain... and also organized... Even if I have to do a Christmas in July... it is all organized and I dont' have to go pulling tons of stuff out... to find one thing that I want to use... just one bin... so this little tiny kitty was way at the bottom of the bin... waiting to be used... Finally I did...

ATC's in the box

Pumpkin Box  4" X 4"
Okay...this ATC represents my two favorite seasons... spring... and FALL....  the flowers are for spring... and the rest is for Fall...

I love using different kinds of things on one tiny little card... only 3.5X2.5 and all that fits on there... so much fun...

So then I got busy with the rest of the presentation... and made a Halloween Pumpkin Box...  so the ATC's could fit in there...

All of them fit... and it will go into the mail to Sandy today...
She will love it...

Here is what the box looks like when it is all finished... I think she will love it... at least I hope so...

Hope you have fun making something special today...  it is always fun to have a few projects that you enjoy giving...
Thanks for stopping by... and hope to see you tomorrow too... I have more on the slate ... so come on back...  Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
