Background papers

I just needed to unwind so I tore a piece of paper in half and started to ink them up... using some stencils, new inks, new stencils, and just had a lot of fun... I love just playing for the heck of it...

I have a bin near where I sit in the studio, and it is filled with all kinds of papers that I have made and will find a home for them all... I don't throw out too many pieces of paper at all... very little in fact... tiny scraps...

Anyway.. unwinding is special...
Hope you had a fun day... and that you find your art enjoyable in all ways...  See you soon... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

A Little of this and that

Sometimes we have to compromise and create one item for a couple of reasons!!!  And that is really what this turned out to be...  I needed to create something for SIMON SAYS STAMP AND SHOW  which the challenge this week is something for HIM... !!!  Well that is a good challenge for me... as I always have a hard time creating for the hims in my life... I have four that I am always looking for ideas to create something special
 for...

Okay... so that is #1 project...
Then I am teaching a class on June 9th  (click here for details ) and needed a few more samples... as I love to take a lot of ideas to class... so this project can and will be one of the items...

Last year at Christmas time, I decided that I was going to make a few gifts each month and that way I would not be swamped in November and December and could teach longer into the season...
So this had to be a gift for one of my HIM's on my list...

I started to think and finally came up with the idea to make a metal box...  I love making these... it is not the first one... and will not be the last one..
I used a lot of embossing folders...and had a blast deciding which ones to use...

Black alcohol ink and a little metal and two sheets of paper and I had a wonderful little box...  with all three things crossed off my list...

I think you can most likely recognize the embossing folders that I have used... and then I cut them all up...
To create on awesome box for ????  oh well... if I tell you they will see who it is for and it will not be a surprise...

LOL..

I hope that you have had a nice 4 day week-end...  to all the people in the USA and that you are all ready for a fun filled week...

I know that I am... I even got my studio cleaned up and organized... and I LOVE it... of course I always say that after a major move of STUFF..... but this time I have all my medias together...  all my stamp pads, inks, re-inkers, markers, misters etc  etc... all within an arms reach... even my oil pastels... had to find them so I could put them out... LOL.. talk about obsessing... I love it...
Well have a fun week... see you tomorrow most likely...
and thanks for stopping by for a visit...

Bliss

Being that this is a holiday week-end in the USA and everyone seems to be so very engrossed in celebrating I decided to do some of my own celebrating for ME!!!  I became totally involved with my paints, and all kinds of things, like markers, crayons, inks, sprays ... you name it ... it is and has been used and totally enjoyed...  the other day I created a piece of paper and then even revamped it into my journal... which I will show ya'll at a later date... but wanted to share this with you today... but I used the same technique as Challenge 7 at Studio L3   which was to use a technique from Tim Holtz's book of techniques...called brushless....    so that was the beginning... of the page... I did make my own leaf stamps to use... (an interesting note is that after I finished the entire pages and flipped to the next section of my journal... I had leaves already to go for the next page... LOL.. the color distress that I used had gone right thru the page... LOVE IT... so now I have to think of something to use that for... not a difficult thing for me... right???   )and then started to blend in different colors... finally using that new color of Squeezed Lemonade.. I could go for some right now... it has been rather hot down here in the Carolinas and lemonade is a must ... but I settled for some sweet cantalope that we grew last year... I am trying to empty out the freezer... the winter is over and now we need to use up the tail end of all the foods... getting ready for all the NEW foods that are TRYING to grow... we are again in a severe drought...  Another Rain dance might be in order...

 Anyway....

I drew some flowers, and painted them... and then upon rising this morning I had to check out Sunday Stamper challenge with Hels Sheridan and saw that her challenge was to use a word...  I would do that after I finished this page section in my journal.....

so I went to work to finish this piece... and it needed something else... so I drew some leaves with my distress markers... and it still needed something else...

So I started to add some words...  and thoughts started to flood my mind.. and I had to write them all down... why can't I  just write ONE word and be done!!!

Well that is not my style is it???

I love words... to use them on creations... to speak them... to WRITE them...
and just use them all the time... At the same time I started to think about the day....
And had to add the feeling of looking out from all these wonderful flowers...

I hope you add some flowers to your creations...  I have a lot of digital flowers in my collections on Pretties by Bonnie

Hope you will take a look and see which flowers you need in your collections...  digitals are so easy to use and you can get so many different looks with just ONE flower...  and size too...

I had to add ONE more word... as it was the feeling that I totally had when I finished creating this piece and it was bliss...
So I grabbed a Ideology tag and clip to attach to this page in my journal...  as it was PERFECT ending to the pages...

I used a lot of things... but generally all things that were on my work space... LOL... it is a mess in my studio right now...  not usually like this at all.. maybe that is why I am so free to draw and color...

I really had fun with this piece... and let it all go to create this... will do somemore of this later on... might even try my hand at cleaning a little bit today...  not my studio... the rest of the house is in need of some loving care too...

Live in Bliss... Create ART.... Play... Live life... Embrace each moment....  Enjoy color.... Love self... give yourself a time to be alone and create what YOU desire... let it all hang out... and be free with your hand...

Hope that you have a GREAT week-end... and thanks for stopping by for a visit...  see you again soon...

Long Notes

I had to make this into a LONG pad... I had just some paper to make a journal... and had all the misc pieces left over... I usually put them into my white paper scrap bin... to use for punching etc... but instead I punched them with my binder, and made  a LONG NOTE pad...  put a daisy and some leaves on it ...and it is finished...

The Daisy and the leaves were sitting on my work area, so I used them...  the leaves... I love to make my own stamps using all different kinds of things... these were made from a pink eraser that I cut to make these great leaves...  then I wanted something a little different, so I used a coffee ink to print them...

You can see that both are simple designs... and yet make quite a nice Long Note pad... it is only about 2.5 inches wide and is 8.5 long...  what fun...

It can go into a gift bag real easily and my scrap is used in a good way...

Thanks for stopping by today... and hope that you have a creative day yourself...  I am going to go be creative in my closet... and get rid of old clothes... and clean it all up... need to feel free of old things......

Brushless Watercolor

Today is one of those days that all routine has been broken... which is GREAT every so often...  I love it...

I thought I was going to do one thing... and ended up doing another... and that has been going on all day long... and I love it...

Even with this picture... which I will most likely add to my journal.. I thought I would do one thing... and it ended up being another...  and I had a lot of fun doing the whole piece...

step one and two
This week on Linda Ledbetters STUDIO L3 challenge she has chosen to do the following...

Technique 7: Brushless Watercolor
Sponsored by eclectic Paperie
So I gathered up my supplies that I wanted to use and started to play...
After I got the background done I had to add more... oh wow... the stuff started to fly then...

I used a new to me stamp from Mini ornate ... love the words... and stamped them in Black Archival all around the edges of the 8.5 x 11 paper...  then I took my Olive archival pad and used my blending tool in the center section of the paper...
Here is the paper after the Olive archival had been added....

Oh now I was really excited... this technique was really perfect for the mood I was in...

I had dreams about painting flowers with my H2's... and hoped that todays challenge would allow me to do something with them... and YIKES... it was...

Okay... I still felt like I needed to add more... so I distress stained another stamp ... the larger ginkgo leaf... and stamped that in peeled paint... and then used a black archival ink on top of that... you can still see the distress stain if you look closely...

I wish I could get larger pictures up here for you... but with this dial up ... not a go for me...
Then I started to play... Bonnie style...

I drew flowers all over the paper... and then using my Twinkling H20's... I colored them in... and then used my distress markers to accent the flowers...  Love the look I got... I also used my white copic in a jar as a paint for the accents...

But don't you love the washed out gingko leaves... love it...

Here are some close ups of the flowers... and the background... which is just the look I wanted... LOVE it... You are right Linda... it will be a much used technique for a long time to come... LOVE IT...  100%...
Thanks Tim for the inspiration on this background... I love it...
Another section... love these little orange flowers... they started out yellow... LOL... and of course the daisies are my very favorite... which please don't forget to take a look at my newest collection of Digital flowers... called Dynomite Daisies on Pretties by Bonnie  There are a lot of pretty ones to play with there... and there are bonuses galore HERE
so that each time you decide on a kit, class or collection... you receive a BONUS... what a great thing to do...  check it out... thanks...

Okay... more pretties on this corner too... I really had fun with this challenge today.. and thanks Linda and Tim for putting me into that space...

Hope ya'll have a wonderful day.. if you are traveling... be safe and careful... and enjoy your day, week-end and time with loved ones...  Thanks for stopping here today too...

Sweet Violets

Quite  a few favorites here.. I love the colors of this whole picture... the teal butterfly paper is from K and Co... and it is so pretty...  I was saving it for a SPECIAL occasion... and this was it...

I added the violets which are a another favorite flower of mine and also the Just Rite shape...  the other favorite here is the little tag...
A friend of mine gave me the tag punch... thanks Victoria... and I love it... it is a Fiskcar punch and I would never have bought it, as I wouldn't think I would use it that often... but in reality I use it the most of any punch I have ever had!!!!

I have some little stamps that just fit in the punch area and I am happy with that...  but these violets I love the most...

They are not released yet... but if you order your collections between now and the end of May, I will make sure you also get this violet...  it is so cute with daisies... and for all those that have received their collections... I will send you one too..  how is that... dont' like to have anyone feel like they missed out on something...  and this violet is a special little one..

It comes with two buds... one single bud and also a double bud...  the leaves are in the greenery area of your folders...

Thanks for taking a look and hope that you will take advantage of this special on Pretties by Bonnie and don't forget to remind me about the violet!!!

Have a fun and creative day... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Daisy Gift Bag and Tabbed Book

I have to start out by apologizing for these pictures... some of these were very hard to get a good picture of .... due to the coloring ... but I know that you will be able to see enough good pictures to get the idea...

I used some of my Pretties by Bonnie  flowers from the Dynomite Daisy collection... I love daisies and wanted to play around with these today, as Glenn just picked me another really large bouquet of them today... I love them... did I say that already..????

I also wanted to make something as a gift... and I started out by making the bag first... not kidding...  I knew what I was going to make as the GIFT... so the bag was the Fluff...  but it turned out so very pretty that I think that it will be used quite a few times...  I like it when that happens... Upcycling is so good for the earth...

Well I made the small tote...  using some paper from Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection... and the paper is named  Mercurial Masterpiece...  A really special print... with a border all the way around the 12 x 12 paper.. so this bag is a good size bag... and perfect for my gift...
I used 2 sheets of the paper... and a few daisies... and leaves... Love these daisies... they brighten anything up... don't you think...  add a light to the project...  I used a sheer black ribbon for the 'handles' of the bag... but they are just for look... not to be used... a little too frail...

I used a green marker and a little dew drop magic for the centers of my daisies... and also some liquid pearls by Ranger.. .

All my daisies are layered... and when you get your collection of digital images you will also get a software package so that you can print TONS of all the exact size flower...  and make these pretty layered flowers...  they are so pretty on all kinds of things... tags, bags, cards, scrapbook pages, you name... they will certainly brighten up any project...
I made three small bows to go down the side of the bag on the right hand side... just to off balance the daisies going up the left...

The picture isn't that great... but at least you can see what I am talking about...
Okay... then for the gift... what gal doesn't LOVE another little book... this book is 5X8.5 inches... and has four sections to it... a little frilly... a little flowery... and lots of places to write, sketch or doodle in...  perfect size for a purse... or tote... and a great gift...

When you buy a collection between now and May 31st there is a bonus gift ... the more collections you buy.. .the more bonus gifts you receive... how to punch this background is one of the bonus gifts...  it is a fun way to use those punches and be creative again...
A little bit closer to see the daisies and the colander... which will be coming out soon...

I love using liquid pearls on so many things... and especially leaves and greenery...  down by my watermark you can see my dots on the leaf.. LOVE doing that...

Looking forward to you getting some of these collections so that I can see what you will make... all the gals that have received your sets... I would love to see what you are creating...

Thanks so much for stopping by today... and hope to see you again tomorrow...  more goodies will be up here... that is for sure...

Have a GREAT day... enjoy  the day entirely...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

THE Cheshire CAT!!!

Altered Alice challenge this month I have been writing a story... with pages to tell that story... and this is one of those pages... of the continuing saga of the Top Secret... Alice is hunting for the answer... So on this page the Cheshire Cat appears and disappears all over the place...  Hope you see that... he is there... but not really...  LOL... he is not really visible to you...
Anyway... I used a Cheshire Cat Stamp that I won from Stamp Attack a few months ago... (a little longer.. but who is counting...)  It is really a wonderful stamp... and just the right size for this ... .  He is all over the page...  Love it...  anyway... Alice seems him one minute ... but then he leaves... she goes on over to talk to the Duchess at  the games... and ask her... DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE TOP SECRET IS?????  She didn't even know what a top secret was...
No use here... that is for sure...

Another day another story...

I hope that I will be able to finish this prior to the end of this Challenge on Sunday the 27th... but if not... have no fear... I will finish it in the next month...

Hope that you have a GREAT day and thanks for stopping by for a visit... hope you can get messy and creative too...

Enjoy your day...

Do You Know what a Gryphon is???

Altered Alice is having a challenge and I have decided to write a little story.... still working on the ending... but if you have been following along... this is just another part of the story....

Alice is looking for the answer to the TOP SECRET that the Rabbit announced a few weeks ago...  and Alice is asking everyone if they know what the TOP SECRET is??? Do you know...  Do you know what  a Gryphon is???

Well he and Alice has been talking for a long time... and all the other animals are all watching as they talk... he doesn't know what the Top Secret is... at all...
So Alice moves onto the Lobster and the Snail... and neither of them know either... did you know that these 'characters' were in Alice in Wonderland... ????  Amazingly they ARE... .so many of them... wild critters...   LOL...
Another fun page to create and put into my Alice in Wonderland Journal... which I have to say I am working on the cover for... but might not have it done this month...  still waiting on a few things ....

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and hope to see you tomorrow... Love, Light and Peace....Bonnie
